Through this interactive workshop, Dawn will focus on Aztec history and Aztec contributions to Mexican culture as well as their connections with nature, astronomy, and the arts. Dancing and drumming will reinforce these teachings. Participants will learn several words in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, which is still spoken by 1.4 million people in Mexico. Participants will experience the wholeness of the Mexican society through a traditional blessing dance which reinforces participants' knowledge about the four seasons and the movement of the planets.
