Corn is a staple of the Americas. This workshop will show Iowans what Venezuelans have made using corn, why and how it has become what identifies Venezuelans at home and abroad.

Participants will get hands-on experience at making arepas and learn about the beautiful names Venezuelans give them based on the yummy different fillings. They will also learn a bit about Venezuelan geographic landmarks and important facts through pictures and stories from Inés' life in Venezuela.
