Learning to speak a second language not only enhances future global communication skills but also supports brain development, improves math abilities, and refines motor skills. Many studies suggest that the optimal age to learn a second language is from birth to 12 years old.
Chinese is a unique language, distinct from alphabetic languages, as it consists of two main components: character writing and spoken language. Contrary to common belief, speaking Chinese can be relatively easy compared to learning many Western languages, as it has minimal grammar and each word is a single syllable.
By the end of these 10 sessions, students will be able to engage in basic daily conversations, ask and answer questions, and build a vocabulary of 200 words.
The workshops incorporate music, dance, and interactive class activities to make learning both fun and effective.
