This highly interactive workshop engages participants through storytelling to explore why Chinese people celebrate the New Year in their unique way. By asking and answering questions, attendees will gain insight into how the Chinese calendar differs from the international calendar and the significance of various objects used for holiday decorations. Young participants will also have the chance to try on traditional Chinese costumes, as wearing new clothes is an integral part of the New Year tradition. The workshop concludes with a hands-on crafting session, where participants can create either paper lanterns or animals representing the zodiac sign of the year.
