CultureALL Ambassador Dawn Martinez Oropeza was honored to conserve and preserve the private office of Cesar Chavez with the assistance of the Smithsonian Institution. Chavez, with an 8th-grade education, woke the world to the plight of the farmworkers who labor to bring food to all of our tables in the face of great, violent repression. The late Senator Robert Kennedy called him “one of the heroic figures of our time.”
In this workshop, told through stories and images, participants are encouraged to consider how much they can do with their lives, no matter where they began.
