Lisa Ung was born in Vientiane, Laos. She has been living in the U.S. since 1984. In 1986, her family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, from Fresno, California.

Lisa is fluent in both Lao and Thai. She is a Senior Marketing Director with World Financial Group (WFG), running her own agency in Des Moines.

Lisa is married to Jimmy and has four boys. When she has time, she enjoys cooking for her friends and family and loves to travel. Lisa has been to the countries of Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, and Spain, to name a few.
