Tai Dam Culture

Khong Lovan was born in a refugee camp and emigrated with her family to the U.S. from their home country. With CultureALL, Ms. Lovan teaches about the Tai Dam, also known as the “people without a country,” who began to leave Vietnam for other Southeast Asian countries or the U.S. in 1975. Ms. Lovan is passionate about understanding and preserving Tai Dam cultural traditions as she straddles two cultures as a second-generation, foreign-born American.
