Strategic planning is an important part of non-profit management – you have to have a road map for the future. For small organizations like CultureALL, strategic planning helps you make the most of your staff and resources
Strategic Planning Grants – January 2017
In December, CultureALL received grant funding to support consultant fees for strategic planning and resource development in 2017. This includes a $2,500 Iowa Cultural Trust Stability Grant from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs. The Stability Grant program was designed to encourage the growth, stability, and sustainability of Iowa’s cultural organizations. The grant is made possible by an appropriation from the Iowa Legislature to the Iowa Cultural Trust. The Iowa Cultural Trust is administered by the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.
At the end of December, CultureALL received a second grant of $3,500 to support its strategic planning process from the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines through its Capacity Building Grant program. The two grants will be used together for consultant fees related to CultureALL’s strategic planning process which began with a Board & Staff Retreat session on January 7.
These are not the first grants CultureALL has had from these partners. We are extremely grateful to the Community Foundation and the Department of Cultural Affairs for their continued support of our organization!
End of Year Funding Update:
We made it! Thanks to the support of many generous individuals who donated online, by mail, on social media, and even in person, we were able to reach our fundraising goal to raise at least $5,000 between #Giving Tuesday and the end of 2016.
