Meet our Intern Erika
Erika Worley hails from Grinnell, Iowa, but Kalamazoo, Michigan has been home to her for the past year. She is sophomore at Kalamazoo College and studies East Asian Studies and Japanese. CULTUREALL seemed like a good fit because Erika aspires to work with an organization that brings people together, similar to CULTUREALL.
“Japanese culture swooped me up when I was in seventh grade and I’ve loved it ever since,” says Erika. She enjoys comparing the Japanese language to Chinese and Korean and everything about the culture. “My favorite part of language-learning is every time I learn a little bit more, and can apply it to situations outside of class,” says Erika.
Working for CULTUREALL as an intern is Erika’s summer highlight. She is working on the workshop product pages for the CULTUREALL website, along with any other tasks the team can use me for. Last week Erika spent her time with the kids that attended Culture Camp. She took photos, assisted the Cultural Ambassadors and helped the kids.
