CultureALL’s Bollywood Ball event celebrated 10 years of CultureALL’s work in bringing authentic cultural experiences into Central Iowa schools and communities. Over 500 community members – CultureALL Ambassadors, volunteers, performers, and guests – were on hand to help make it a night to remember. Here are some of the highlights:
Thanks to a dedicated committee of community volunteers, on April 16 the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates in downtown Des Moines was transformed into a magical Bollywood wonderland with performing stages, “selfie stations” for fabulous photos, and a colorful Bazaar.
An incredible array of performing artists brought their talents to the Ball. There were musicians….
and even some dance lessons, so everyone could join in the fun!
The Sahai Family was honored for its contributions to the community.
Mehandi artists provided guests with gorgeous (but temporary) henna tattoos…
and guests dazzled in their fabulous fashions.

CultureALL would like to thank everyone who attended the Ball and participated in the Raffle as well as our generous sponsors. All funds raised during the event were used to support our education programs. These programs provide students with that which textbooks and research projects cannot: first-hand interaction with real people from other countries for high quality global learning.
