Lunar New Year in Korea

CultureALL Ambassador Christina Kim helps students to explore the games, music, and tradition of the Korean Lunar New Year – one of the most significant traditional Korean holidays.

Workshop Description

Korean New Year is one of the most significant traditional Korean holidays. This holiday falls on different dates each year because it follows the Lunar Calendar. During the Korean New Year celebrations there are many activities that families do together: pay respect to their elders, play games, music, and songs. The students may play along with four different traditional percussion instruments as well as other activities. Happy Korean New Year.
