We are pleased to announce that Bankers Trust is continuing its ongoing sponsorship of our Zoom in on Culture program. The company has provided support of our Photo Ethnography projects since 2008, and we are so grateful for this ongoing investment to help the students of greater Des Moines to explore and better understand the concept of culture.
“Bankers Trust is honored to be a sponsor of CultureALL’s Zoom in On Culture,” said Don Coffin, President of Bankers Trust. “This program’s focus on developing artistic expression and cultural inclusiveness in our schools matches well with our core values.”
Bankers Trust is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year. The company – which is headquartered in Des Moines – has been a leading financial institution for commercial and consumer banking services, with branches in central Iowa (including Ames), Cedar Rapids, and Phoenix, and offices in Omaha and Sioux Falls. Bankers Trust has a long history of philanthropy in our community, and is well known for its commitment to education, culture, and community development.
“During our first 100 years, Bankers Trust built a strong reputation as a leader in supporting diversity within our company and throughout the communities we serve,” said Coffin. “The bank also has a long-standing commitment to culture and the arts. We will continue to invest in worthy causes, like this program, in our next century.”
Since 2008, CultureALL’s Zoom in On Culture Photo Ethnography program has been in 18 classrooms at 10 schools – benefitting 650 students and touching the lives of over 30,000 additional students, teachers, parents, and community members. Thanks to Bankers Trust, over 100 new students at four Des Moines area schools will have the opportunity to be part of this program.
