We live in a world that is becoming increasingly complex and interconnected. Communities are becoming more diverse.
The clash of cultures drains us and divides us. It prevents us from solving the problems we face in common. If we’re going to build a better future, we need to find ways to come together. We need to connect. That’s where CultureALL comes in.
Since 2005, CultureALL is helping Iowans of all ages to connect to – and through – global cultures. A huge part of our work involves connecting K-12 students to culture – and to each other – by providing experiences that show them that every culture has value.
When kids see that their culture is valued at school, they feel better about school. They are more engaged, more capable of communicating and forming relationships with kids from other cultures, and and more likely to remain in school. That helps keep them on the path to high school graduation and greater success as members of a global community.
Check out this video that shows how a CultureALL after school program changed the life of little girl named Lia.
